  • 60% or above in 10th, 12th; and 70% in the highest level of education till which the results are declared.
  • No active backlogs should be present. If selected, any pending backlog must be cleared within the course duration to be eligible to join.
  • Gap in academic career must be less than 24 months. If more than 24 months, it would be reviewed during interview and onboarding along with supporting documentations with valid reasons.
  • Age must be between 21 and 28 years.
  • Work experience maximum of 2 years.
  • Under-graduate, Post-graduate, and Diploma students in their pre-final and final year.
  • The Training and Placement Officer of the respective institutes can nominate additional candidates from other disciplines who are exceptionally talented.

CodeVita and TCS Digital

A candidate can also aim for TCS Digital if he/she has cracked the TCS CodeVita Pre-Qualifier. CodeVita consists of algorithmic coding challenges like various coding contests we have today like HackerEarth and HackerRank. A candidate in the final year getting a good rank (preferably within 2500) in this contest will qualify for the interview. A direct interview with TCS would be held in such a scenario, and questions might be from the same coding language you used in the coding content. The candidate has to express their intent for both the Ninja and Digital profiles by checking the option ’TCS Ninja and TCS Digital’ while filling the TCS NQT Application Form. Upon this shortlisting, the candidate will go through the TCS Digital Online Test, a Technical and HR interview.

Also, after being onboarded by TCS with the Ninja profile, you have 6 attempts to upgrade your profile from TCS Ninja profile to TCS Digital profile. TCS conducts internal exams for Digital profile and on succeeding in these exams a candidate can upgrade themselves to the TCS Digital profile. The designation and pay scale accordingly changes.
